Stayed at the garden view side. Nice room overlooking the lake, easy walk to main lobby lots of activities near the main building. Beach isn't too far of a walk. Buy they offer golf cart rides if you choose not to walk.
This is an awesome MVC property. It spreads back from the beach with well-kept and generous 2-bedroom villas. We've enjoyed cooking on the grills, relaxing on the beach (free dolphin shows), and catching fish in the pond next to our villa.
Our favorite Marriot to stay at in Hilton Head. So much to do and see at this location. Absolutely beautifully maintained grounds and the staff was super friendly. Golf carts (no charge) will take you over to the beach if the walk is to much for you (elderly or those with a bunch of kids toys). Also very pleased with the comfort of the beds as the room was beautiful
We really enjoyed our time at the Marriott SurfWatch! We had a room overlooking the pool and it was very convenient for us as we are pool people! Walk to the beach was easy but golf cart transport was always available. Drinks at the bar was awesome along with the friendly staff! Ben at front desk was always accommodating! Definitely recommend! I didn’t enjoy the ball throwing in the pool. But I realize that helps keep kids and parents occupied!
We are in the beachfront condo & it's beautiful the view is stellar, however, the other 3 buildings don't have this view The units are beautiful and well appointed. I had a package delivered to the front desk & they notified us immediately.
The rooms are perfect! Everything you need is provided. Be sure to take a walk around the grounds, visit the fire pits, Sea Salts Beverage Company and the boardwalk to the beach. The property is well maintained and a quiet place to getaway.
This is our 2nd time trading into Marriott SurfWatch Resort. The first time was great, this time even better for our Christmas family vacation. They put up in the back closer to the beach with beach front views. I really recommend this resort and then the Marriott Barony Beach Club Resort. Both Resort great in accommodations, amenities, and location. Thank you Marriott for making this Christmas time with family a great and enjoyable time.
Marriott properties in Hilton Head are all fantastic. Surfwatch was no exception. The room was nicely appointed and fairly newly upgraded as far as I could tell. We chose this one since we needed a three bedroom so my son could invite a couple of friends. It’s a large property with about the same buildings and probably rooms as others like Grande Ocean or Barony Beach Club, but more space between with a large lake. Only three pools total with only really one outdoor within the proper resort and one on the ocean far removed … then there is a large indoor pool. Good amenities, great staff, and excellent upkeep. The building we were in, Tide Mark, only had one elevator which seems odd … our child broke her ankle and was in a wheelchair and we were in the third floor so there was a little “what would we do if the elevator broke half way through our vacation “ … but it didn’t happen … just a note. The location is removed from the downtown busy hustle and bustle which can be good. Being mid island has advantages and disadvantages, again, just a note. Overall they took good care of us and we’d return if we needed a three bedroom again.
